Liver Detox Herbal Tea

This cleansing and supportive herbal tea helps detoxify the liver, promote bile production, and flush out toxins while supporting digestion and overall liver function.


Ingredients (per cup):

  • 1 teaspoon Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale) – Supports liver detox and stimulates bile production
  • 1 teaspoon Milk Thistle seeds (Silybum marianum) – Protects and regenerates liver cells
  • 1 teaspoon Burdock root (Arctium lappa) – Cleanses the blood and supports liver function
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric root (Curcuma longa) – Reduces liver inflammation and aids detoxification
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger root (Zingiber officinale) – Stimulates digestion and reduces nausea
  • ½ teaspoon Peppermint leaves (Mentha × piperita) – Soothes the digestive tract and promotes bile flow
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Combine the Herbs:
    • Mix all the dried herbs together in a small bowl.
    • Store in an airtight container for future use.
  2. Brew the Tea:
    • Place 1 tablespoon of the tea blend in a teapot or infuser.
    • Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the herbs.
    • Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Strain & Serve:
    • Strain out the herbs and drink warm.
    • Optional: Add honey and lemon for extra detox benefits.

How to Use:

  • Drink 1–2 cups daily for 2 weeks as part of a gentle liver cleanse.
  • For long-term liver support, drink a few times per week as needed.

Alternative Additions:

  • Lemon Peel – Enhances detoxification and supports digestion.
  • Nettle Leaves (Urtica dioica) – Provides additional kidney and blood-cleansing support.
  • Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) – Improves circulation and reduces liver inflammation.

Precautions:

  • Milk Thistle may interact with certain medications—check with your healthcare provider before use.
  • Dandelion and Burdock root can have diuretic effects, so stay hydrated.
