Circulation Support Herbal Tincture

This warming and circulation-enhancing tincture helps promote blood flow, reduce inflammation, and support cardiovascular health.


Ingredients:

  • 1 part Hawthorn berries (Crataegus spp.) – Strengthens blood vessels and supports heart health
  • 1 part Cayenne pepper (Capsicum annuum) – Stimulates circulation and warms the body
  • 1 part Ginger root (Zingiber officinale) – Improves blood flow and reduces clotting risk
  • 1 part Ginkgo Biloba leaves (Ginkgo biloba) – Enhances circulation to the brain and extremities
  • ½ part Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) – Helps dilate blood vessels and improve circulation
  • ½ part Cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum verum) – Warms the body and supports circulation
  • 80-proof (40%) vodka or food-grade alcohol (enough to cover herbs)
  • Glass jar with a tight-fitting lid
  • Dark glass dropper bottles for storage

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Herbs:
    • Chop fresh herbs or measure dried herbs into a clean glass jar.
  2. Add Alcohol:
    • Fill the jar halfway with herbs, then pour vodka over them until completely covered.
    • Ensure the liquid sits at least 1 inch above the herbs.
  3. Infusion Process:
    • Seal the jar tightly and shake well.
    • Store in a cool, dark place for 4–6 weeks, shaking the jar daily.
  4. Strain & Bottle:
    • After at least 4 weeks, strain the tincture through cheesecloth.
    • Squeeze out all liquid from the herbs and transfer it into dark glass dropper bottles.

Dosage & Use:

  • Take 30–60 drops (1–2 droppers full) in water or tea 1–3 times daily.
  • For best results, use consistently for several weeks.

Alternative Additions:

  • Prickly Ash bark (Zanthoxylum clava-herculis) – Stimulates circulation and reduces numbness.
  • Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) – Supports vein health and reduces swelling.
  • Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) – Enhances bioavailability of other herbs.

Precautions:

  • Cayenne and Ginger can be warming—adjust if sensitive.
  • Ginkgo Biloba and Hawthorn may interact with blood thinners—check with a doctor if on medication.
